The Jobs display cabinet is a unique piece of design that allows for a new perspective. It is both strong and discrete, capable of being placed on a workbench like a tray for dishes. Jobs is the first showcase in the world without a stand, condensing all of today's shop window functions into a few centimeters in height. This allows for the full expression of a room's design, eliminating superfluous elements such as footings, engines, and hooves.
The technology behind Jobs is equally impressive. The cabinet uses components that reduce the dimensions of the technological systems, such as low-thickness advanced materials. The ventilation technology posed the greatest challenge and benefit of high-grade research to limit the needed amount of space.
The Jobs display cabinet is also flexible in terms of dimensions. The aesthetic frame holding the Jobs technology is only 16 cm in height. The showcase can be placed at any height, and its overall depth of 90 cm can accommodate two rows of 36 cm ice cream tubs or professional pastry trays, for a maximum capacity of 70 cm depth.
Jobs is not just about aesthetics and functionality. It also offers a unique user experience. For the first time, a display cabinet can be controlled like a TV remote. With the Upper app, users can guide and control Jobs from their tablet, thanks to a simple and intuitive graphic interface.
The Jobs project was developed over a year, starting in early 2015 at the Orion company factory in Jesi, Ancona, Italy, and was presented in January 2016 at the SIGEP fair in Rimini, Italy. The main challenge was to reduce dimensions while maintaining the same exhibition measurement. The result is a high-performance showcase with high display capacity, true to the Orion brand.
In conclusion, Andrea Stramigioli's Jobs display cabinet is a game-changer in the world of display cabinets. It is a testament to the power of design and innovation, and a worthy winner of the Silver A' Design Award. Jobs is more than just a display cabinet; it is a symbol of flexibility, vision, comfort, efficiency, and performance.
